My great grandmother, Dorothy Nugent. She used to take in cats which nobody wanted.
She was a vegetarian and into animal rights , a divorcee, single parent, all sorts of things that weren't the done thing back then.

 

Not entirely sure what my Nana was up to in this shot.. I mean , standing up in a canoe... not a life jacket in site...
